Exposure is proud to be working with international artist and facilitator Valerie Mason-John (a.k.a. Queenie) to present a workshop for visible minorities: INSIDE OUT. This is a unique opportunity for visible minority queers to explore their identities in a creative and dynamic way.
We will be working with spoken word, performance art, theatre, poetry, reading out loud: Come tell your stories in whatever way feels comfortable for you. It will be a time to be unapologetically yourself, to not have to compromise who you are. While the all-day intensive process will be an event in and of itself, part of the experience will also be an evening of sharing the work with an Exposure audience. While all workshop participants will be required to be part of the evening sharing, some can be part of the behind the scenes work, while others will be in the ‘spotlight.’ All participants will contribute and be needed for a successful end result.
